About Me

Hello! My name is Xiangwen Li. I'm a UX Designer with a background that's as unique as my approach to design. My journey into the world of user experience design started at the University of California, San Diego, where I majored in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Design and Interaction. It was there that I first delved into the fascinating theories of how our brains process information - a journey that has profoundly shaped my approach to UX design.

Initially, my academic pursuits began in environmental chemistry, but it wasn't long before I realized my true calling. What sets me apart is my innate ability to empathize with people, combined with a deep-seated passion for using design to change lives for the better. These traits not only fueled my enthusiasm for UX design but also inspired me to shift my major to focus solely on harnessing the power of design and interaction.

Over the years, I have honed my skills through rigorous practice and hands-on experience in various UX case studies. As I continue on my path as a UX designer, I remain committed to leveraging my unique background, empathy, and passion to create designs that not only meet users' needs but also make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Beyond my professional life, I'm an active TikTok addict and a dog lover. Hiking with my dog has always been my favorite weekend activity, especially during our time in California. My furry companion has been my travel buddy, accompanying me on the journey across the United States, from the west coast to the east, and eventually to Canada. This adventure not only strengthened our bond but also enriched my perspective on life and design.
